Moon Wings

A truly one of a kind piece. An old and very battered carved box in very hard exotic wood with many repairs needed and an ugly central motif but beautiful leafy scrolls that had to be saved at all costs! 

Carefully disassembled, repaired, reassembled, painted to highlight the beautiful original carvings, very gently distressed to preserve the vintage feel, and completed with a new moth carving, set with opalite moon phases.

This was a labor of love, but in every way worth it.
