About Fauno

Fauno is a small independent business based in the Dordogne, a fairytale region of forests, rivers, and castles in SW France. If there is a place where you can start believing in magic, this is it!

We began selling wooden handmade jewellery and home decor during the pandemic, but the skills and intentions that made it possible, had been growing organically long before. 

We have been doing woodwork of one kind or another for over thirty years.

The nature and historical architecture of this region truly are poised on the edge of a legendary realm and they inspire us every day. When we built our cob home here we made it into a corner of Middle-earth.

We wanted to create art in the same way we created our home: with our hands on wood and stone, and our head in the fantasy stories we love.

We are constantly inspired by the natural world and by art, books, fairy tales, myths, favourite fantasy universes. Organic shapes, and light, and colors, animals and insects, and the life of old, old trees all of this is woven through each piece that we make.
