Coiled Dragon

One of Tolkien's most iconic paintings is the coiled dragon, beautifully named Hringboga Heorte Gefysed, from a line of Beowulf ("the heart of the coiling beast was stirred").

Fauno's imagination of dragons (since childhood) probably owes more to this drawing than to any other picture ever made!

It is here hand-carved and hand-painted in upcycled pine wood and set in a vintage frame.
