Upcycled - The Crack in Everything

"There is a crack in everything that is how the light comes in."

An old hardwood bowl that split in mid-upcycling, causing much despair in the artist! 

After languishing in a box for months, it was finally repaired in a sort of kintsugi style, which adds one more layer to the study of light, transparency and shadow which was the original goal of this piece.

Exotic hardwood, acrylic paint and carnauba wax, honeysuckle vines and hand-painted ucycled leather leaves.
